I laugh every time I see it-love the two main characters and well it's just a fun movie.
The Replacements
The pros were on strike so they put together this team
Information about the movie here and The movie was loosely based on the 1987 NFL strike, specifically the Washington Redskins, who won all three replacement games without any of their regular players and went on to win Super Bowl XXII at the end of the season.
May the best teams win this Sunday
I've not heard of this one, but you picked one perfect for the season :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know this film, but it sounds like a good watch. This is a big movie time of year with the cold and snow and my workspace on the colder side some days and not enough time to warm it up after I get home from work some days. Thanks for the suggestion. and have fun with football. Not sure who I am rooting for, but am leaning towards San Francisco. Tomorrow should be a fun football day with some good games all around. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your fun football film! Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteMy memories of football are at the holidays when we were at my Mammaw's house and everyone was watching them after a Thanksgiving or a Christmas feast but I would be in the back bedroom taking a nap. I would hear the game in the background as I drifted off to sleep. :)
ReplyDeleteI like this movie too Kathy. 'Remember the Titans' is a good football movie too... But my fav all time football movie is 'Rudy!' I'm rooting for the Packers and the Chiefs... Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've seen this one. While I enjoyed Remember the Titans and Rudy, I think my favorite football movie is Pat O'Brien in Knute Rockne, All-American. Enjoy your football Sunday
ReplyDeleteNot seen this one, I love American football too! Thanks for the recommendation 😀. Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI gotta go get that movie. And wee. So sad it´s always in the middle of the night for us. I LOVE American Football, we have the best German team right here! (To me they will always be the Braunschweig Lions. "New Yorker" is a stupid clothes shop that took over and re-named them ...)
ReplyDeleteI haven´t seen this movie Kathy !! It may be interesting. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. The last movie I´ve seen this Saturday is "Las Inocentas" (The innocent) from 2016. This movie is based on true story --->
ReplyDeleteIn Poland, in 1945, the young French doctor Mathilde discovers that the nuns of a convent became pregnant after suffering massive rapes of Soviet soldiers. Although his mission is only to assist the French, he begins, in secret, to help the Polish nuns.
I wish you a very nice new week, and send big hugss
