T Stands for Tuesday-This and That

Happy T Stands for Tuesday-where we link up with Bleubeard and Elizabeth for T. You are welcome to join in-just share a drink related photo and link up-click on T in my sidebar.

Since I most always write my T posts on Monday, I am wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day.  End of last week I baked up two batches of valentine cookies-one wheat and one gluten free, and I even frosted them with sprinkles on top 😀 I will have more about the cookies on my Food Wednesdays post

I grabbed a bison and wolf cutter for me-of course

and I found 2 fish cutters for the wheat version for Larry's cookies

It's been up and down with the weather here-warmed up nicely with a good melt, although there are still areas of snow piles that were deep, and then it has turned quite cold over the weekend again. A warmer day tomorrow before it gets cold again.

We have enjoyed lovely views most every morning, out our wall of windows this past week,

One foggy morning, there was also ice on the lake for a few days that had broken off from the more shallow areas of the lake

Late yesterday (Sunday) afternoon-surprise-the moon

Saturday I made up another crisp in a cast iron pan. I had about 8 apples left, and our Wisconsin friends gifted me with a large bag of blueberries they had picked and then frozen, from a friend's farm up near Green Bay Wisconsin. This was so delicious.

and for my drink share-these crisps are perfect for breakfast and with a cup of coffee.    Since it is Valentine's Day today I made my decaf coffee in the french press and added a tablespoon of my homemade cocoa mix. Soooo delicious-and splurged with a bit of whipped cream 😉

Happy T Everyone

  1. How wonderful to see that sky reflected in the lake.
Did you know that frozen blueberries are ideal for putting them inside cakes since they don't stain them?

  2. Great looking cookies. I haven't done cut outs in a few years...
Your views over the lake are just gorgeous!!! And we have had the same weather as you. Bitter cold now but expected up to 60 again later this week.
You always make some delicious looking cast iron dishes. And your special coffee sounds perfect to me. Happy Valentine's day, and happy T day too!

  4. You made some fun cookies for Valentine's Day Kathy. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I wonder how coco would taste with just a tad bit of coffee in it, since coffee enhances the chocolate taste. Hmmm, you have me thinking. And what gorgeous sunsets. We have had some color, but not like that. I hope you have a great T day and week ahead. I have some food for Wednesday too. hugs-Erika

  8. Oh!!!! Wonderful, beautiful views of your lake! Thank you for sharing!
I sure would / will bake cookies of another kind, but yours look great.
I would likely make a mobile from that ;-)
In fact Ingo plans a maritime mobile of Northern beer cans.
A happy T to you! (Your card... nada. Nothing. So sad).

  9. What wonderful sugar cookies. Really LOVED seeing the hearts, the wolves, and the bison cookies. Very pretty.

Your views of the lake are always gorgeous and these are truly lovely.

Your apple blueberry crisp is really making me hungry. Now I want something sweet. I can see why yours went so well with your decaf coffee that you "spiced up" with your cocoa mix and whipped cream. The perfect pairing of wonderful food and drink. Thank you so much for sharing your sunrise and moon shots over the lake, your cookies, apple blueberry crisp, and your lovely coffee with whipping cream with us for T this Tuesday, dear Kathy. Happy Valentine's Day, too.

  17. Oh your cookies look delish! And I really like those fun cookie cutters.
The red sky over the lake is spectacular. You are so lucky to see that almost every day.
Your blueberry crisp looks really yummy. I can almost smell it. Here we buy blueberries by the handful. They are so expensive. It's because there is no culture of using blueberries, so the supermarkets don't store them, and when they do, I can't afford them.
    Belated happy T-Day,
    Hugs,

didn't realize the blueberries did not grow there-they are one of my favorite fruits. they do have to grow in a very acid soil.
      Happy T hugs
