Orange Cardamom Breakfast Bread Twist  (this one does use a Pillsbury hot roll mix)

Eggs and Grits Souffles  These really look and sound good

Honey Nut Sweet Rolls  (from scratch)

Buttermilk Bacon Pancakes

Sweet Potato Streusel Scones

Espresso Glazed Doughnuts  (these are fried)

and from Lodge Cast Iron

Savory Sausage Dutch Baby

Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls

Leafy Greens Frittata

Strawberries and Cream Skillet Bread Pudding

Hoping this gives you some recipe inspiration for your Christmas or Holiday Morning

and if you happen to have a woodstove (or on your stove top) nothing better than a hot cup of percolator coffee

Happy weekend before Christmas.

  1. I have never been fond of grits. I have a friend who made them every time I had breakfast at his place. He fixed plates, so it wasn't like I could just skip eating them.

Those espresso donuts look pretty good, but I am not fond of cake donuts. I would LOVE to try the Sweet Potato scones, though. It's too bad none of the entrees were for vegetarians, but the sweets sure were! Happy cast iron holidays, Kathy.

  7. There is nothing here that I wouldn't like to try. It has been a long time since I have had a glazed doughnut, so that would probably be my first choice today. Or the Apple/Pecan Dutch Baby. One can never go wrong with anything apple and pecan. I am wondering if you and Larry will be having something special on Christmas morning.
