Good morning, Wow we are into August already!
I went through my old posts to look for a hand dye post. This one is full of fun. September 27, 2013.
Photos of golden rod, osage orange, and my silk on silk blouses-which I want to do again-so fun. I ended up selling these blouses on etsy within a few days of posting them-my first ever "fast" sale haha. I should really do more

Happy second on the 2nd
Those blouses are wonderful! Hope all is going well with the big move and your hubby. Take care of yourself, happy 2nd on the 2nd, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Those blouses are lovely. I hope you've had time to enjoy the lake house, and not been all work and no play there.
ReplyDeleteMore dyeing. I love seeing this since I like to play around with dye in the summer but this year I haven't done anything. Glad you shared this Kathy. You got gorgeous results. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI remember doing an internet search several years ago involving silk ties and dyeing. I think that's when I ran across your blog. This was so unusual then, as it is today. This post and your dyeing techniques have definitely stood the test of time. Thanks for sharing this second look with us on the 2nd, dear Kathy.
ReplyDeleteSorry I was late. My internet has been down since last night. Hope all is well with you and your husband.
It doesn't seem possible that we are now in August!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Happy August to you, Kathy! Your dye experiments are so pretty. The goldenrod is already blooming this year!
ReplyDeleteLove, Marqueta
Happy August to you, Kathy! The goldenrod is already blooming this year, so I might have to play with some. We had an Osage Orange tree in Kansas City, but I haven't seen one since we moved to Mansfield.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Marqueta
I remember when you posted about those before. They are lovely. Really hard to believe it is August. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteMore dying. How fascinating. I have never dyed before and I love your result.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your second on the second,
Lisca
They are beautiful blouses! Love to see your dyeing! I missed Second on the 2nd this time - I think I took on too much in July and was recovering which is why I am going backwards on your blog before catching up with your latest post! Chrisx
