Day 4 New Year Challenge House plus Fly

Today's challenge was House + Fly  Optional Technique-Watercolor

I grabbed my watercolor paints and inks and my watercolor notebook

After I finished this I realized I messed up the lines of the roof-but it was fun to  figure out what to paint although this is a bit primitive haha My paintings always look like a child painted them-perhaps because I never drew or painted as a kid. I am embracing the fun this year.

  3. When you try something new or fairly new, it's such fun to see what happens. It's good to embrace it and just see what happens. Have fun Kathy. Hugs-Erika

  4. It is very sweet and reminds me of a children's book illustration. As long as you are having fun and enjoying that is all that counts.

    1. I love your drawings that you share from your journal. Yes that was a strange challenge-I didn't want to try to draw a fly haha

  6. LOL. Redaing the challenge I had SUCH a different image in my mind!!!
    Yours is better by far!

(In Australia you have so-called Blowies. They are little flies. There are ear-flies, nose-flies, eye, flies and lips-flies - they go for the moisture we have... eeeek - one wants to be HOME
They are called Blowies cause you blow with your mouth to get them away).

Love your house - and your style! Kid-like or not, it´s great.
The idea would freak me out, though...? Although great in earthquake-prone places!

Your background makes me feel cold. We have 46F! Hugs from here

    2. You are still doing a great job. Whatever you do, DO NOT feel intimidated. I bet the "good" artists don't weave or slow stitch, or eco dye or . . . . Be proud of your accomplishments. BTW, for Day 5, I saw a bird. But I am not playing because I am so far behind due to being offline for so long. I did enjoy the challenge because I got to see all except Day 5 when I got back online.
