Happy Saturday,
Today is also the 2nd of January which brings us to Elizabeth's 2nd on the second-find link in my sidebar. We share a previous post.
I wasn't sure about what to post, but I liked Erika's post of looking back over 2020 and sharing art Thanks for the idea, as I want to share that as well here.
I am not sure if this post qualifies for second on the 2nd as I have no links to the direct posts of these photos. 2020 was a good art-crafts year for me-I tried painting with acrylics, watercolor pencils and watercolor paints. I still spun yarn, made soaps and quilted, and I participated in some of the journal events.
Warning: Very Longgggg post of photos
Here's to a creative and artistic 2021
A warning for beauty???

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I hadn't realized how much I actually did with art til I looked back-so was happy with that-and want to get back to my attempts with painting more this new year. along with quilting spinning weaving-my loom has been calling me
DeleteI loved seeing your art and handwork! I must encourage you to keep painting! I know you do a lot of other things-but I hope you'll take the time to keep painting.Your paintings have a sweet feeling to them. I love the one with the branches across the sky. So glad we are blog friends!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Debra, I am so happy we are blog friends too-hugs You have been an inspiration for my painting-I wouldn't have even tried if not for you and Barbara.
DeleteI have always followed my "muse" right now is getting some quilts done, I must get back to weaving too but I do want to still paint and improve on that
I'm glad you decided to post these Kathy as the second looks are amazing, and the first looks for a few of these is also really nice. Your quilts came out gorgeous, and it is nice to see you painting again. I had to smile at the page with bird with it's mouth wide open saying it is wine-o'clock somewhere. I wonder if birds actually sometimes feel they need a break too. Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYes I think birds need a break too, especially when feeding their young in the spring and summer.
DeleteI am enjoying seeing, and reading about, your quilts, even though I have loved following along with your journals and painting. You have so much energy to get so much done. Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeletethanks-I get it from my farm girl Mom and her Mom they were never sitting still do nothing. if sitting they were knitting or hand embroidery, or sewing-or something
DeleteI have NO idea how I missed this, Kathy, but I'm glad you left the link so I could visit. I noticed you didn't link to Second on the 2nd, though. It was a PERFECT post for that. I remember each and every one of these and was enjoying seeing so much all together. Even though you didn't link, thanks so much for sharing with us your incredible collection of works you created in 2020 for your second look.
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, since I didn't put in links for the photos to another post wasn't sure it qualified for the 2nd on the second. I enjoyed putting this post together
DeleteWow, I loved seeing all your crafts from 2020! They are all so beautiful, the eagle day is fabulous and the yarn, quilt and soap are amazing 😀. Happy New Year, let's hope it's a better year for everyone! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThank you Jo-I enjoyed looking over last year's crafts
