T Stands for Tuesday

 Hi everyone,

T Stands for Tuesday and T with friends hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth.

As I type this up we are getting lots of loud thunder and lightening, no heavy rain as of yet.

I realized I don't have allot to share this Tuesday, so will refer you to my previous post    Where I shared my wool quilt project and a hooked rug piece that is almost finished and needs to get done.  I have also dug out my basket of civil war reproduction quilt fabrics for the hexagon project, and I am still spinning too. Am also catching up on reading novels from my favorite author and a couple new authors to me as well.

Larry's sister and family have come to visit this week. Today was extreme heat again but they did all fish a bit off the dock today.

My drink reference

I have been drinking more of this sparkling water that has nothing added except for a fruit flavor.

Happy T everyone

  1. OH! We had thunder the other very early morning, too, and rain, sooooo beautiful!
And heat, yay!!! That drink sure looks refreshing - a happy T-day to you!

I looked up dried tansy - good idea, moths love our woolen socks made by Ingo´s late Grandma....
Your doll looks Russian a bit? Or Turkish? If that helps... (guess not).

    1. Yes the tansy is really nice-I had planted some at the woods house so I brought some back to dry. we have been having lots of thunder and high winds but very very little rain so far it keeps missing us
My doll was handmade by my friend Barbara-it is also beaded too

  3. I’ve discovered I actually like some of these flavored sparkling waters. My favorite is strawberry lemonade. And nothing added besides flavor is always good. Hope your visit is going well and you have a nice T day. Hugs Erika

    1. Yes I am liking these sparkling waters too with nothing added but the fruit flavors. His sister's husband is a vet and surgeon so he really needed some relax time for a few days. They are out looking at lake houses now-perhaps buy one for a getaway for him. Its not a bad drive down around 6-8 hours

  5. Yes, we are sweltering here too in Southern Spain. My mum in Holland has told me they are having a heatwave there with a whole week of 30 plus temperatures (Celsius). She is unable to sleep in this heat and will be exhausted by the end of the week, poor dear.
Fishing off the pier sounds good to me. Were you not tempted to jump in?
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  7. I love blackberries, so I imagine I'd like that water. I tend to forget I could add fruit to water... Even the lemons I keep for that purpose tend to get old because I forget to use them.

We're in a drought here. The Autumn rains will come soon enough I imagine, but until then I'm having to water every day. The pots dry out so quickly in this heat!

    Happy T Tuesday!

  11. Happy T-Day! (I'm leaving a generic comment for everyone this week, because I'm very sore after each day's storm clean up efforts. Tropical Storm Isaias clobbered Connecticut US August 4, 2020.)

  14. That stack of wool scraps looks like it would make some beautiful quilts. I LOVE that doll. Do you happen to have a tutorial or does Barbara have a blog? It would be so fun to make something like this with my daughter.
Your pottery mug is lovely and the sparkling water sounds refreshing.

    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate
