T Stands for Tuesday-and Going Forward

Happy T Stands for Tuesday everyone.

This is where we share a drink related post, and link up with our hostess Bleubeard and Elizabeth.
Only "rules" is to be sure and share a photo of what you are drinking.

This past week has begun our new life adventure. We are going forward with de stashing-allot, selling, and looking for a home on the lake with boat slips. Our goal is to fix up and de stash, see what is available on the lake, and put our home up for sale next spring.
So Big Big changes have arrived. Kinda exciting too.

I have a huge book collection, cookbooks and craft books mostly-I will start going through those first and only keep a few favorites.
Any ideas for online sales of books? I don't care for amazon-too high fees-so far am using Facebook and Ebay and see how this goes.

Over the weekend I worked on the ceiling and have the one section finished with two coats of paint-next up is the second section of ceiling with two coats, and then paint the walls twice as well. So progress on that.

I had done many eco printing papers when I had the chance, so I now need to get that all put away for now. I may still want to do some natural dyeing/printing on fabric-I always need a craft break when I am working on the house projects.

I am thinking we are going to be really really busy here-so may not be able to post for T every week-but will still visit as much as I can-I would miss you all too much.

I am sharing a couple beverages this time. Enjoying a piece of carrot cake with my decaf herbal beverage in my favorite Yellowstone Park mug-for breakfast

and I love this beverage for during the day-as a treat. It has very little sugar and no caffeine.

   Happy T Day everyone.

  2. Gee Kathy, it doesn't take long to share a drink each wee, so I hope it will be the one luxurious diversion you indulge in each week. I would gladly help you if I lived closer.

Now I want a piece of carrot cake. It looks as good as it did yesterday. Great looking Bai drink. It sounds both healthy and refreshing, too. Of course, your herbal decaf beverage looks even better in your beautiful Yellowstone mug. Bet you won't be getting rid of it (grin). Thanks for this latest update and your plans to move in the spring, as well as both your breakfast drink and your mid-day drink with us for T this week.

  3. So you plan on downsizing when you move? It is so much work to clean out and move, isn't it? And all your work on the walls and ceiling but in the new house you will have new challenges and new home tasks to work on. New directions are scary and hard but exciting too. Who knows what good things you'll get. Have a wonderful T day Kathy. I'll take a piece of carrot cake with you. Hugs-Erika

  7. I never had much luck with book sales on the internet, no matter which venue I tried - Ebay, Etsy, Yahoo groups, Facebook. The best I did was loading up a trunk full in open boxes spines up so people could see the titles, and taking them to quilter's meetings with the announcement that I was having a tailgate book sale in the parking lot.

  8. That's exciting, Kathy! Best of luck with the house. Not many people want paper books anymore. I have no idea where you could sell them. Your carrot cake looks yummy!

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen

  9. Kathy you are so brave down sizing. I wouldn't know where to start. I do wish you loads of luck and hope everything goes smoothly.
Its a shame you cannot find somewhere to sell your books. We have a store where we can exchange books about an hours car journey away, but I guess that would be no help to yourself.
happy T day wishes and the carrot cake looks yummy.

  10. It does sound exciting! My daughter has used ebay and likes it well enough. I've always just donated mine, since I don't like the selling process. That carrot cake looks delicious :) Happy T Day!

  12. How exciting to be moving to a smaller spot near the water! It's surely going to be a lot of work along with the adventure but will be so worth it in the end. I must remember these words when we decide to take that turn in our lives too:)Good luck with everything, and thanks for sharing the lovely breakfast. Happy T day!

  13. Hi Kathy. I'm back to answer your question about whether I'll frame Chia Girl. It will go into my bound Life Book 2018 journal at year end. However I am having a canvas copy made for my sister to hang in her new apartment. She loved it and said she'd be proud to hang it on her new wall.

  14. Kathy, the carrot cake looks wonderful, I always overdose on it when we are in San Francisco, Safeway’s does a lovely one!
Sounds like when we moved here, we gave away most of our furniture except our bedroom furniture, luckily I hadn’t started crafting at that time! LOL

  16. New house projects are always exhausting. There is never time for everything. Blogging always seems to be the first thing to go on my list when life gets busy. I hope that you are able to accomplish all that you set out to do. I am looking forward to updates when you have time to blog.
You can always try selling books on your local yard sale groups via Facebook. Although, they are very few in rural areas. Or you can try ebay.
Your coffee cake looks delicious! Enjoy.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  18. I know how hard it is to downsize and get rid of stuff - but we did it in 2012! We are lucky to have a low maintenance place now that leaves time to do the things we want to do! I wish the same for you! Carrot cake for breakfast sounds great, just a cup of coffee with mine though! Good luck with the sorting - we have several online options in the UK for selling old book, CDs etc I bet you have the same somewhere!! Happy T Day! Chrisx

  19. How exciting! (and scary too). I know all about downsizing and getting rid of stuff. I sold lots of stuff on Ebay, even things I thought I would throw away. For some things I got a lot more than expected ands some really nice stuff sold for pennies. Oh well, win a few and lose a few. Books are not very successful online because of the high postage prices. You'd be better taking them to table top sales and jumble sales and such like. And your specialist craft books you could advertise on blogs and sites of like minded people and you micht come across someone who was just looking for that particular book....
That carrot cake looks really yummy! I haven't made one in a long time.
I do hope you will find the time to post something and keep us all up to date. A very short post with a photo of your drink doesn't take that long to do. (pretty please)
Wishing you all the best with the house sale,
    Belated Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

  20. Delicious carrot cake, Kathy.
I have not sold anything via Ebay, but I have heard that it is easy. So, you may give it a try.
    Kisses, my friend.
