I think this was one of the most exciting super bowl games I have watched in some time. A nail biter for sure The two teams were evenly matched in my opinion, and the Chiefs were considered the underdogs in this game. There was a short time there, that I couldn't watch and worked on a puzzle at jigsaw planet. I missed the clydesdale commercial so will look for that online.
The half time show was better than most, I thought it was a good choice since they were playing in Las Vegas, but I hope they bring a country music show for half time soon, although I enjoyed seeing Reba singing our national anthem, last year with Stapelton was epic and I have watched that again several times-very moving.
The victory parade on Valentine's Day will be live online from a Kansas City station here I enjoyed watching last year, although the team was pretty "blasted" by the time they reached the stage. smiles
I looked for a photo from the game to share and I chose this one. Mahomes with his young son Bronze, his wife and daughter were there too.
In my opinion Mahomes has taken the "torch" from Brady moving forward and I love coach Reid-brilliant play calling

DeleteCongratulations on your team winning. I’m a long time 49er fan and yes it was a nail biter! I must be weird - I never watch the halftime show. I’m there just for the game. I do things when the commercials play. I’m just not interested. We used to have Super Bowl parties back in the day. Now it’s just me and the husband. I did make us some really good chicken wings. You gotta have a Super Bowl treat! 😊
ReplyDeleteYears ago the commercials were fun to watch-they have been really poor recently so I read or do something else instead of watching them too. the half time shows have been really bad too-and usually don't watch them either-I was curious what this one be like-better then most. I have never made chicken wings-perfect super bowl food-hugs

DeleteIt's been so long since I watched a football game! I don't have a tv anymore, but if I did, I'd be watching the Super Bowl too! I remember when I lived in Montreal, for one glorious year, I had season tickets to the Montreal Alouettes football team. It was so much fun but omg sometimes it was CCCC-old out there watching the games!!! A thermos of hot chocolate and lots of blankets were always in the car!!! ☺
ReplyDeleteI remember back in the late '70's when I was living in Denver Colorado a friend of mind had two tickets to the Broncos game-same thing soooo cold, she wanted to leave early-I said no way this is probably my own chance to be at an nfl football game-and it was smiles good fun though whe had thermos with too
DeleteIt was a good game but Travis should answer for his actions with coach Reid. I did not like that one bit. And it should not be just glossed over.

DeleteI didn't watch any pregame events. I also missed the first half and the halftime show because I was watching Miss Scarlet and the Duke, even though I could have streamed it on Passport. When I finally got to the game, the 3rd quarter had just begun. Nicole thought it was boring (per my coverage of the game). I thought it was one of the better games. I loved how it went into overtime and Mahomes showed how great he truly is at his job. So surprised how many times (twice) he carried the ball himself. Love my Chiefs. I haven't had a team I liked in football until now. Still a Lakers fan!!!

I have been a green bay packers fan since 1967, but since I moved around several times in my life, I would also follow a local team where I was living, since most times the Green Bay games were not on the tv-like when I lived in Colorado and North Carolina. when we moved to Missouri and I started watching KC when Mahomes started and coach Reid I knew they were both greatness-I love to watch quality sports and KC is that. I love the chiefs too

DeleteIt was a good game. But just like how people in much of the country rooted for the teams playing against the Patriots back in their day, I think most people up here in the Northeast were rooting for San Francisco. Mahomes is a good player though. It will be interesting to see how other quarterbacks grow (or not) and how the rookies in the next couple of years compare. The best part is that is means there will be some great football in future. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSo many that supported Brady all those years I am thinking are a bit lost at the moment to find a team they want to support, or waiting on the new qb that took over when he retired.
DeleteI thing SF has a good team but the green bay packers would have won that playoff game if the green bay qb hadn't thrown that intercepiton towards the end of the game-they played a much better game in my opinion then SF did and GB had a very young inexperience qb that is amazing to watch.
So I agree will be fun to watch the younger players getting better. If the coaching team at KC stays in place I can see them winning more super balls-they will strive now for 3 straight super bowl wins-which has not been done before
We had it on while we were playing Scrabble but by the time of the third quarter had finished our game and were glued to the set. It was a terrific game and I was glad KC won.
