T Stands for Tuesday & Another Heart Journal Page

It is time for T again, the days seem to be flying by still  and way too fast.
You are most welcome to join us with our hostess Bleubeard and Elizabeth, to link up only requirement is to share your drink related photo.

Like allot of you the weather here has been so up and down-down to 1 degree and up to 50 degrees f the next day. No wonder my asthma, and allergy systems are all over the place this season-worse than I have been in a long time. Nothing seems to help-my ears are constantly draining, and making me light headed-not fun.

Since Friday I have been binge watching the Outlander series on Starz. The first episode started at 11:30 am my time and I  stayed up til 3:30 am. Went to sleep but woke up in four hours-so I turned Outlander on again and pretty much watched all day again til around 2am. No wonder I am tired lol I had not seen this show before except for some last year.
Some of the episodes on Sunday I had seen before but watched again after about 10 am. Only show I missed that I really wanted to see was Jamie seeing his daughter Brianna for the first time.

This year's episodes are based on the book I haven't read yet The Fiery Cross during the time leading up to our revolution-perhaps including the war. I will start reading this one tonight.
There are of course some changes in the series from the books but not too bad. I really loved the photography and all of the actors and actresses.

I did get some spinning done-I am pleased with the results. This has been easier for me to spin than some wools I have spun before. This is polwarth wool with silk.

This afternoon I made another journal page for Elizabeth's Heart theme over on AJJ

This one I took a page out of a mixed media notebook to work on-and then glued in my journal.
I wanted to play with stamps, pens, and try to draw something. I drew the umbrella and the puddle of water that the one heart fell into. I hope it looks like a puddle of water.

This week I am still drinking my lemon-ginger water, decaf teas and coffee and Sunday evening I decided to open up a bottle of wine-some of you will remember this one. It came from Aldi and I really like this one.
I took this photo on the kitchen table so you can see my coffee cup to the right-and ignore the background clutter.

This "glass" I bought from one of our favorite potterers back in the '80s or so. This was one of his first attempts with porcelain  I have two and use them for small size beverages.

Originally I was scheduled to go to Springfield, Mo with a friend to get our taxes done and to visit craft stores. However, early this morning I got a call that our appointment got changed to next week Wednesday morning--so that means I will be able to visit everyone.

Happy T wishes to all of you

  1. I love your page of raining hearts. Along with the falling rain and splashing puddle (no mistaking that!) there is a lot of movement in this piece. Very well done!

  2. I like the Outlander series. I've read a few of the books but not all of them. One of these days I will get back to them I guess. But good for you to sit up watching the shows. I have the same little hand spinner with the sheep on it like you do. And I love the hearts in the rain. Nice journal page Kathy. Thanks for sharing with us. Happy T day. Hugs-Erika

    1. Thank you so much Erika, The books are really long which I do love, but the books are so involved that I need to take a break to get all in if that makes sense-I can't read her books when I am tired.
I love this little hand spinner and was so inexpensive to others I have picked up.

  3. Sorry to read your allergies and asthma are flaring up. With all this roller coaster weather we've been having, I think Mother Nature is off her meds!

Most impressive page of hearts, dear Kathy. I'm really impressed with both your drawing (something I can't seem to accomplish) and your stamping those hearts. They certainly convey they are raining down and the one in the puddle is genius. I agree with Barbara that there is a lot of movement. Super job. Thanks for sharing it with us at Art Journal Journey using my theme, too.

That's a very unique container you used for your wine. This is is quite different and I was really impressed with the porcelain. It's a very pretty color, too. Thanks for sharing your spinning, your lovely journal page, and your wine and mug with us for T this almost Tuesday.

I agree that Mother Nature is off her meds for sure.

    1. Hi Sharon I was so happy to see you at T this week. I can't even imagine how difficult you had it with both wrists being broken-so glad you had help to get through it all and are now able to do some things-just don't over do it-hugs

  6. Ohwww, so sad you´re not well!
WOW, you ARE tough, though, that is some time span you binge-watched! LOL!
And I feel a tad ashamed I´ve never heard of that series...

I still have a very ... hmmm... beautiful? picture in my head with wools.
Ingo´s late Granma wanted to welcome me to the family with socks. Not enough wool, shops closed, so the front and back were a different one.
I loved it! "Oh, you say that to be polite!", she said, but Ingo went: "I want some like that, too!" As did his Brother... you get the picture.

One day I went downstairs and found her on the ground. No, not fallen, on her knees, "streets" of different wools for socks :-)
I have the most unique ones (as Hubby, his Brother.... etc).

Ohhhhh, a brolly!!! I´m a Pluviophile, I love your page!

You have an ALDI, too?!! It´s world-wide now, I guess?

To wine (or beer) and a happy T-day!

Thank you for letting me know what pluviophile means-I love the sound of a soft rain.
Yes back near our woods home we had an aldi store in the next town over. None near the lake house though and I will miss it.
      Happy T

  8. First of all I think your drawing and page with the heart falling in the puddle looks fantastic Kathy, you could almost imagine hearing the splash. Its an awesome page for Elizabeth and Bleubeards AJJ theme.
It sounds like you had a marathon TV watch at the weekend, it sounds like a good series to keep you gripped to the story.
I hope you are feeling better and the allergies are not so troublesome for you today.

    1. Hi Yvonne thank you so much for your kind comments with my Heart page. I have not done much at all in drawing so this was fun and am glad it looks like what I wanted it to.
Yes it was a nice tv marathon now I can't get the theme music our of my head lol

  9. Oh what a lovely journal page! Yes, it is clearly a puddle of water. No doubt about that!
I'm sorry to hear you are having a bad time with your allergies. Not fun at all. So distraction in the shape of a mega Outlander session is a good idea. I have probably told you already that I read the first outlander book and didn't like it. I don't think I finished it, which is very unusual for me.
That is beautiful wool you have spun there. Very colourful. What are you going to do with it?
Ha! Spanish wine! And Tempranillo grapes too! (Once you've read my blogpost of today, you will understand why I am Ha-ing.
Have a great T-Day dear Kathy,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

I am going to weave some sort of clothing but not sure what yet. I have several other rovings to spin up and then decide how and what I want to weave. I discovered I had asthma in the 90s it is usually not too bad but I this very up and down weather has gotten to me this year

  14. I enjoyed the first episode of Outlander for the new season. I may start watching from the beginning. Himself joined me, but hasn't followed the series as religiously so he was lost in a few places. Your mixed media journal page is fun. Yup, looks like a puddle and a fine one to splash into. Happy T Day

  20. I like the beautiful colors of the wool you spun. Your heart artwork is beautiful. And I like the thoughtful cards you sent to others, who showed them in their T posts this week. I don't have cable, so I don't know about that Outlander series, but it sounds good. I need to get back to reading books, which I used to enjoy doing. Happy Belated T-Day!
