A Photo From the Past

If you are over on Facebook you'll know that sometimes they will repost one of your photos from the past.

I am really not much on there any more. Most everything posted is untrue when I check to see if it is or not-but I keep it for those who message me there and for the handful of friends I "met" online when we first retired-over 20 years ago.

This photo was so sweet-10 years ago when we were still living in the woods, and I was doing a lot of spinning back then with different fibers.  This one shows bison fiber and our kitty Miss Calico-she was a very special kitty-lived to around 20 years. Her and our wolf Nikita were special pals and playmates.

We miss both of them very much. With our senior ages we decided not to get another pet after they both passed-would not be fair to them-as they would probably out live us

The worst of this brutal heat with humidity comes today and tomorrow and then supposedly a day or two of a cool down with rain-we'll see

Happy Monday

    1. Good morning-she was mostly an outdoor kitty-she got into too much mischief so she was mostly outdoors, but she was a special kitty to us. All I can do lately is watch the grass grow taller sigh at dawn it is already too humid and hot for me to be outdoors-this is a brutal summer so for here in the ozarks.
You stay safe as well out there-hugs

  2. Miss Calico is beautiful. Her spirit is with y’all for sure.
I think a lot of people got the clue to not post so much personal things on Facebook and elsewhere, especially about their children. The Internet can be a scary place.

  4. What a real beauty she was. I'm sure she brought you lots of comfort and good memories for about 20 years.

We got the same heat advisory here in Wichita. Stay cool, if possible.

  5. Happy Monday to you to Kathy. I think about whether to get another pet in the future, after the dogs go, but I really like to take care of something so I guess time will tell what happens. Miss Calico looks sweet. I hope it isn't too hot where you are, and since I'm guessing it is, stay cool. hugs-Erika

    1. Hi Erika, we both really miss not having a pet but at our ages when our two pets passed on-decided it would not be fair to the new pets if they out lived us. we could have considered a senior dog-but decided against it.
It is still soooo hot and humid at almost 8 pm t is still in the mid 90's hoping that cool down arrives wednesday evening.
      Happy new week hugs

  6. I enjoy seeing past memories on Facebook, but because I'm posting less (nothing from our past few vacations) I will miss out on reliving those events down the line.
