This is an update for my previous art practice post.
Wow this turned out to be a really long day for me-got my errands done, it rained the whole time-but that was so refreshing.
It turned out to be a very long day with other events happening, but I wanted to add background to my heron piece tonight.
I used mostly watercolor inks with a bit of watercolor paints. Decided to make a rainy day. I ran out of paint that I had mixed up for the background-I noticed I had missed painting all of the very top of this piece- so needed to mix up a little more-which was not as blue-but in the end I like it.
I don't have a total plan when I paint these-so I am thinking I should have a plan first. If when I started this piece and knew I was going to add rain I would have put some waves in the water.
These are practice pieces So am ok with the process so far
I am liking this one-even though it may be a bit too busy now

As I type this post-my neighbor is shooting off fireworks-but nothing pretty just the ones that make noise-well it is summer and this neighbor loves blasting these off haha

I like it Kathy!! Maybe a bit busy... like you say but it fits right in with your day :) Aaah fireworks.... I've come to hate them... not so when i was younger and i like to see the grandlittles enjoy them but me... i can do without the noise that seems to bring so much joy to other people... If they are gonna go boom they might as well be pretty not just the boom... Take care my friend... Hugs! deb
ReplyDeletethanks after I added the rain-I thought a bit too busy-I don't understand fireworks that just make a loud bang we have neighbors on both sides of us that do that-the one though only on the 4th
