Hi everyone,
It's time to share a drink related post with friends at our T Party. Hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth. You are most welcome to join us-find link in my right hand column.
I have just a short post this week. I have received a few lovely handmade Christmas cards but have not gotten them photographed. I will share next week. Thank you to all of you.
Tuesday we will be gone a better part of the day at the lake house, so I will be visiting many of you later in the day.
I did spend a day working on my veggie garden for my fabric journal-I will share a photo once May is completed.
I did receive in the mail my box of Yellowstone Park goodies. They have a really big sale this time of year so I take advantage of it and the profits helps the park.
This year I looked for things I could really use-my one splurge was the lovely coffee mug.
I needed a new mouse pad, I love their calendar too. I also purchased quilt blocks-there are four of them of vintage photos, a pack of crayons, and a pack of no wood pencils-was not familiar with those at all-have any of you used them??
I was looking around in my pantry for brandy for the fruitcakes but couldn't find any-but I did find a bottle of my favorite eggnog that has been hidden for a couple years now.
My beverage share for this week
Happy T everyone
Great lot of goodies to play with-and I do have the woodless pencils but I really don't use them very much... great looking coffee mug and calendar too. And egg nog- it is a lovely splurge during the Christmas season. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteA variety of items that you have purchased from the park. I love your mug! I have never heard of wood-less pencils. You will have to share how they look in comparison to regular pencils. Your eggnog looks delicious and reminds me that I should make some.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day!
Kate
I am curious what makes southern eggnog different from eggnog. And that is a great package you got from yellowstone. I haven't tried the woodless colored pencils but I am curious about them. You will have to let us know how they work. happy T day Kathy. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYou got lots of nice goodies from Yellowstone. I do love purchases with purpose.
ReplyDeleteEggnog is not something I enjoy, but glad you enjoyed yours. Love all the items you bought from Yellowstone, have fun playing with them. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteGreat buys at the park-enjoy those.
ReplyDeleteI have never tasted eggnog though we used to have a drink called snowballs and that was made with eggs and cream I think.
A Very Happy T Day
Love Chrissie xx
You ordered a super variety of goodies, the new mug looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI will be interested as well as to how the woodless pencils work out, not seen them here in the UK, well not where we live they may be sold in large art stores.
Happy T day wishes Kathy.
Yvonne xx
Great purchases and for a good cause. I look forward each year to my holiday treat of eggnog. I don't drink a lot of it but that first cup always puts me in the right mood to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteThe only wood-less pencils I know about are mechanical pencils or lead-holders. I have both and love them. Have fun at the lake house! Happy T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your day at the Lake house π. Your Yellowstone goodies look fabulous, I love your mouse mat and quilt patches! The egg nog looks so yummy too π. Wishing you a very happy T Day! J π x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of wonderful items you have purchased! I love the calendar and the mug. I have never heard of woodless pencils, What are they made of if not made of wood? Having them made out of man-made materials would be even worse for the planet me thinks.
ReplyDeleteHa, you have reminded me to moisten my fruitcake. I make little holes and pour 50 m, of brandy in them every Sunday. This cake is coming with us to Holland next week.
I haven't had eggnog for years, but I do have a bottle of Advokaat (Dutch egg liquor) set aside for the holidays.
I hope you had a super day at the lake house.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
I am another who has never heard of woodless pencils. I'll be interested to see how you use them in your art. I absolutely ADORE your new Yellowstone mug and look forward to seeing how you incorporate those squares into your fabric journal, too.
ReplyDeleteAs you saw last week, I LOVE eggnog, and would gladly join you for some. Thanks for sharing your goodies and your eggnog with us for T this Tuesday.
Your Yellowstone goodies look quite fun, especially that colorful mouse pad and calendar! Prang is a good brand so you should have good results from the crayons and pencils. fruitcake sounds wonderful, I hope you will share photos with us when it's done! happy T day a bit late!
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late to tea, Kathy. The winter holiday time is always crazy busy for my business. Better late then never ;-)
ReplyDeleteI picked up your card today. I have to go across town to pick up our mail and only go once or twice a week. The card is lovely. Thank you for the beautiful eco-paper. What a thoughtful idea - a card designed to be used again in new ways. I'll have to think of something really special for it.
Have you received mine yet!
Your Yellowstone things are really neat. The park should hire you as a goodwill ambassador (grin). We went ona family vacation to Yellowstone when I was about 11. I remember it very well. Yes, I've used the non-wood pencils. They feel like a firm but soft plastic. They work fine. They sharpen with a regular pencil sharpener but without familiar wood shavings. Your mouse pad image is stunning. What a view!
Belated Happy T-Day! Eileen xoxo
Hi, Kathy! What a nice surprise, to find the eggnog mix. I didn't know there was such a thing. Nice stash, too. I am sorry I am so late, but I always have such a difficult time commenting. Can't do it anymore on my iPad, and I don't know why. I comment, and it just goes away. Happy belated Tea Day.
ReplyDeleteI love your little haul there! I bought my grandchildren woodless pencils! They do a good job! I've been looking back at your posts - you seem to have everything sorted!A very belated Happy T Day,Chrisx
