The other day when I defrosted one of the commercial deep freezers-the one mostly with flours and baking items-I came across some gluten free mixes from Bob's Red Mill-they had gotten buried on me.
I want to use these up and then go back to gluten free baking from scratch-I can control the sugar and salt better that way.
I hadn't ever used this cake mix so I decided to make a batch of cupcakes-I never frost cakes to save on sugars but I had some cream cheese in the frig that needed using up-so turned that into a lemon cream cheese frosting. I also added fresh blueberries into the cake. I found some spring colors sprinkles-so what the heck I said lol
They turned out delicious! Coffee or Tea to go with your cupcake??
Testing Elizabeth's suggestion for getting comment email nofication-only bad thing the email registered when I started this blog I don't ever use-but if this works-will be nice

DeleteI love cupcakes...we’ll except if they have whip topping, I admit to loving a good ol’fadhioned cupcake every time one of my second graders bring them in to celebrate birthdays, yours look delish.
ReplyDeleteI like cupcakes over most cakes-I rarely frost or add sprinkles to mine-I think I was feeling creative ha ha
DeleteThey look sooooooooooo good! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteKathy, I don't know if this will work or not, BUT, I use a pop-up window, rather than embedded for comments. In the window version is a box you can check. You will see "Choose an identity", then below that is a box you check if your want e-mail follow-up comments sent to your e-mail address. I don't see that here on the embedded comment edition. You might try it.
ReplyDeleteTo make the changes, you will find how to change the comments from embedded to pop up under "Posts, settings, comments."
Go to SETTINGS, then Posts, settings, comments.
Look for comment location and change from embedded to pop-up.
Save and see if that helps.
I would LOVE one without the sprinkles, please (grin). They look delicious.

DeleteI make cupcakes instead of cake most times. They keep so much better, I think. Yours certainly look delicious! The colored sugar and the sprinkles are a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteThe blogger comment verification issue is a pain. I've resigned myself to checking the published comments list on my blogger dashboard. :(
I think it is the only way now for us not to miss comments-especially if someone is catching up on posts and comments on previous blog posts. I resigned myself this is just the way it is now
DeleteKathy your cup cakes look delicious, I'd have a cup of tea with mine please.
ReplyDeleteYvonne xx
