    1. I was still a telephone operator back then, I will always remember the calls we took that day-shocking to us working-we found out from the phone calls

  3. This picture surely tears at all our hearts. I am sure all of us who were old enough still remember where and when we heard this horrible news, just as I remember the death of JFK and of the exploding of the space shuttle.

    1. I remember the death of JFK very vividly too-I was in junior high school and we were all crying in the hallways, the space shuttle explosion was really bad too

  4. Yes, every time I see the date... I am back at VW, the CNN-website was dead, colleagues who had friends/relatives in New York panicked.
    And to top it!

The place where Ingo worked back then also sold TVs.
    They had the news on.
People passed by, thinking it is an action movie.

  7. Let us never forget. I always watch everything I can on that date . Not that I am addicted to violence or tragedy, but I want to be a part of all those who were so brave and gave their lives to help others. It was also a time when we were brought together in this country. I pray this terrorism will never happen in this country again.
