Good Morning Tuesday,
Yesterday morning early was our 6 month doctor's visit including those Medicare questions. This time we had excellent nurses.
This gives Larry the chance to get out of the house and drive his Suburban. We really like this doctor but the system is moving him to another city-about 45 minutes from us. We could go there but that is 4 lane highway driving and why do that when this clinic is local. The new doctor will start this coming January We ended up talking about the changes in our medical system here in the USA- -Not good To save money they are only wanting one MD doctor in each office the rest to be Nurse Practioners-which we won't use-unless it's simple like poison ivy etc. sad to see this happening in our country. We asked so is the MD responsible for the NP's? Yes-he said that will be a big responsibility for him.
My eyes seem to be getting worse again sigh. I have what they call dry eye which makes my vision blurry so am taking Blink capsules once a day and lots of eye drops during the day. Perhaps the change in weather is adding to it.
Well enough of medical stuff. Yesterday I received two more lovely birthday cards including original art from one of my slow mail friends-thanks so much dear friends for bringing smiles to my mailbox. One friend sent dried leaves-I love those too-, I have those mixed in with my candles.
I went up to place something in my mailbox this morning and discovered a couple flowers. I always cover the area with lots of zinnia and marigold seeds-which attracts the butterflies and bees-but with no rain this past summer-nothing grew.

Today I will start the deep cleaning of our house-wash those big windows that face the lake first. I am thinking of baking up a few sugar cookies with Halloween cookie cutters-I believe I have a few cutters in my stash for Halloween
When we drove to town yesterday most all of the trees are still green-even the oaks that turn brown still green So strange for this time of year-but we have had no frost or freeze as of yet

ReplyDeleteThank you, we used to have to drive over an hour to see our family doctor-when we moved to the lake house so glad a clinic near us. I figured that too-once we get a frost or a freeze the leaves were turn colors

Oh no on Medicare. Will be going on it next April when I retire. Hope Larry gets the care he needs. Plus you with your eyes. UGH Cookies of any kind sound good. I made brownies on Sunday. Janice
ReplyDeleteI sooo did not want to go on medicare either-but I retired from the phone co and still continued with excellent supplement to medicare. now our supplement is not as good as it once was-but I won't complaining

I did find a bunch of fall cookie cutters so want to bake up some cookies for us
We are supposed to get down to 31F tomorrow night... that will be our first freeze... crazy... I don't enjoy years like this where Summer never seems to end.. We had a front come through this morning with 30mph winds... I had to bring in or take down most of the Halloween decor outside... uuugh... high winds tomorrow too.. But i should get ot put it up again Thursday just in time for Halloween Friday... then take it down again... lol Crazy.. But looking forward to the cooler temps.. I'm so glad you liked your Birthday card... that was so fun to do.. Infact that technique has spiraled into other things... i'm sure you 'll see... Going to make a post soon... stay tuned... it will no doubt be long and lots of pics... that happens when i've been away too long...lol Hugs! deb
ReplyDeletewow we still have no frost or freeze in the forecast for the next 2 weeks-very very unusual for this area. we are catching up on much needed rain though-thank goodness.
