Saturday Afternoon at The Movies

Inspired by CJ to join in

What movie has really made an impact on you or what films can you watch over and over and never tire of? Post either the movie poster, DVD cover or even a screenshot on your timeline. No need to explain.

This week I am sharing the Twilight Saga-I loved the books so much that I have re read them all at least 10 times now. I missed these films at the movies, but then we don't go to the movies any more so I bought the latest set with lots of extra features included.  I will re watch these several times for sure-I have already blown a few weekends re watching. (smiles)

  1. I enjoyed the books. I read them when The Young One was a sophomore in high school and told me she was reading this vampire romance. I began reading to see if it was appropriate. We both enjoyed the series. I also enjoyed the movies. Thought they stayed fairly true to the books. Enjoy your day!

    1. I was really pleased that they did stay true the books-the did change the ending which I didn't care for actually have watched the ending a few times to catch what they did to the story line. they wanted to show allot of fighting acting which was not in the book so they got around that with Alice.
hope you had a good weekend

  2. I was really taken with that series for awhile, but got over it after re-reading the books once. Something about “young love” was captivating. I mean, we all would have done anything to be with the object of our affection when young, and in this case not even care if he was a vampire! Lol. I ended up donating the books to the library. A movie that comes to my mind whenever someone asks about favorites is “Witness” with Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis. I’ve seen it a few times and always enjoyed it.

  4. I admit, this is one I probably SHOULD have seen, but it just never interested me. And I have NO idea why I never cared for it. I guess the previews didn't appeal to me. At least I was born when this set came out, as opposed to the ones CJ finds that are so obscure I've never heard of them. I really DO feel lost in this element, because I am just NOT a movie watcher and haven't been to a theater since 2008 when I was in CA.

    1. I am with you Elizabeth we never enjoyed going out to the movies. when we were first married we went to the matinees once in awhile, now days I would never pay those high prices and then have to sit in a crowd-we do not do that any more.
I do not watch allot of movies either-this year I bought some movie channels for my husband-if I can't find any thing to watch-which is most of the time I watch sports or cooking shows lol

  6. I enjoyed the books and watching the films with my daughter when she was younger. I was crushed that she ended up with Edward as I was always on the Jacob side. And that name for the baby...But they were enjoyable. Happy Sunday. Hugs-Erika

  7. I'm a fan of vampire fiction, but never could get into the Twilight universe. From your post's comments it looks like I'm alone in that opinion lol
