Little lizard in the House

This was something new to see. I was walking into the bedroom to help Larry with something, and just to my right of the doorway was a wild little lizard. There are many different species of these cute little critters here in Missouri-my favorite is the blue ones.

This one was very long and darker colors to grey. I start to point at him to Larry and it scoots through the the corner of a trim board.

Wow had never seen one of these indoors before.

Looking it up, in case it could be a spiritual message of some sort, and found this online

What is the spirituality of lizard?

Lizard as a spirit animal seeks creative people that are facing blockages. It arrives to break a cycle and provide a fresh perspective. The setback you're experiencing is temporary and it has lessons to offer you. Lizard's arrival in your life assures there's an exciting opportunity ahead

There is a blockage with my weaving at the moment, spinning is not a joy right now either taking care of Larry.

Found 5 other reasons here for seeing a lizard in your home

Right now the exciting opportunity would be to get Larry's severe pain in control.  In home health care and rehab begins next week

Summer in Autumn & Update

Here in the Ozarks we will be in the 80's F today and close to that for several days. I have so much outdoor work to be done-but thinking it just won't happen.

I have made progress with the rocks-I am digging through an area of soil that has lots of rocks different sizes-still more to be done. Not thinking I will be able to get to the perennial gardens-but will see.  I must not stress over these projects-as my priority is taking care of Larry.

Even though as a patient he was not ready to come home physically, mentally he needed to be home-where he would feel safe,  be able to sleep and get healthy foods. We will have an in home health service coming in next week-Monday a nurse, then set up visits for physical and occupational therapy.  Although Larry is in so much pain he can barely move at all, from the fall he has allot of deep bruising as well as the healing for his broken leg. So I really don't know what therapy they can do right now-that was the issue at the hosp they were hurting him-I think they started this too soon.

Larry has been in hospitals numerous times with his heart especially during our 40 plus years of being together (close to 45) and this is by far the worse hospital stay ever-I won't even go into it.  When the ambulance brought him home again they needed to get him down the steep hill and steps-one asked me are you sure about this? Yes! and No he will Not go into a nursing home which would be similar conditions as the hospital, I  told him about some of what went on and he says with a sigh-sadly this is our new health care system now, he had similar happen when his father was in a  hosp recently.

We now live in a country and world I don't even recognize any more--enough of  that.

I am reading some of my friend's posts but not as many as I normally would.

I did bake banana bread yesterday-turned out delicious.

Hoping your area is colorful with the fall leaves and warm as well. Have a good weekend

Finally-Sunshine and a Warm Up & Update

   Good morning,

So good to view full sunshine early this morning, and the wind has left us for now as well. Over the weekend it was wind-rain-cold with no sun.

Sunshine always brightens up my mood for sure.

Larry is still in the hospital, and over the weekends there is no rehab therapy, He is still in extreme pain, and continues refusing those horrible strong pain medications as well. I am praying for and hoping this will be a better week for his rehab with less pain. The hospital had told me medicare will pay for 10 days of rehab but they are wrong they will pay up to 20 days. Am hoping he will be able to maneuver himself from the bed to the wheelchair on his own soon. He needs to be able to do this with no weight on his broken leg before he can come home.  I saw that he posted on facebook over the weekend so that's a good sign as well.

My friends are picking me up for a visit today

Tomorrow begins a warming trend getting into the 70's so I will be able to get back to the rocks and the water drainage pipe project.  With this project I have not been able to weed eat the grass or tend to my perennial gardens, hoping later in the week I can do that If not it will be a big spring project for sure.

Since Friday we finally have fall colors in the leaves, no frost or freeze as of yet

Am also Praying for Peace in Israel

An Update

Thank you for continued healing prayers.

Early evening yesterday Larry was moved to an area of the hospital for therapy to be able to move around and walk again.  The injured leg can't have allot of weight on it for several months   The nurse said this is usually a 7 - 10 days stay.

There was a similiar health service for this closer to where we live, but I made the decision it would be better that he didn't have to go through being transported for an hour's drive.

The staff has been excellent of what I can see, but the food is unedible-I have never seen such horrible hosp food -I wouldn't eat it either so this is a big issue, I didn't realize how bad it was until after I made the decision for him to stay in the hosp.  I am working on getting the phone number of the social worker in the hosp. to see if anything can be improved with the meals.

I did finally get a good night's sleep last night-waiting for it to warm up so I can get back to work outdoors-so much to do, will choose what I think is the most important

Asking for Prayers

    Just dropping in for prayers.

Yesterday morning early my Larry slipped and fell off the rock wall where we are working on that water drainage ditch.

911 was very fast to arrive, only about10 minutes   After many cat scans x rays  etc he has broken bones in his leg under his hip area.  Larry is on blood thinners so they have been working to get his blood thicker before surgery-stopping the medicine and feeding him low vit k foods.

The plan right now is for early surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 am, they put him in traction late this afternoon before the surgery. Our friends here at the lake insisted on driving me to the hospital and staying with me I am grateful

   Thank you
