Looking Out the Window and Through the Deck Stairs

We spent the morning working at the lake house. It's been beautiful in the 50's with sunshine

I took a break and looked out the wall of windows
(photos will enlarge just click on them)

There were two groups of geese swimming by

The geese found something to eat along the dock

Several boats on the water

Hubs needed to take out a few tiles and I have been working on getting concrete off of those two sections of oak flooring-I need to google for some better ideas.

  4. You are really getting some work done and I am jealous you are going to live on the water. I would love to but here lake property is ridiculously expensive (most lake houses start at at least 1 million dollars). Love seeing your view and those geese. Have fun on your rehab. Hugs-Erika

    1. I understand the high prices we wanted lake property about 30 minutes away from us. I wanted to be near Ha Ha Tonka state park but we could not afford the prices there-very expensive. and the lots were very very small as were the homes for our budget. this piece had a couple compromises but the lake front has 140 feet of frontage and the water is deep 60 feet at the dock with a natural seawall

  7. Oh what a beautiful view of the lake! Aren't you lucky to be able to live on the water's edge. The geese are awesome.
I also looked at your other post with the blueberry muffins. They look delish. You aremaking me hungry now.
    Congratulations on your wonderful house,
    Lisca

  8. You are so blessed. You have found a great spot in which to live out your final days.

Those geese won't leave if they can find food, though. They live permanently around the two rivers that surround my neighborhood, and people have finally stopped feeding them, especially after they slipped and fell in geese poop!

  9. Kathy, the location, views and the house itself look like something out of a dream. Well after all the work gets done - like scraping up concrete. I'm so happy for you two and hope you have many happy years there. Eileen xoxo
