Wasn't sure what to expect-how big a mess-well they are digging up our property on both sides-on the right they have no property to dig-so on ours, to the left those neighbors do not have much property either and they were crying about the mess-so Larry said just do it on ours.
This is a path down to the lake that they started putting rock down
Geese swimming by-I bet they are wondering what all the noise is about We are seeing very few baby geese or ducks-I am thinking all this rain and cold took allot of them
Thanks for sharing the photos, looks like a lot of work and mess as well. Glad the people are nice. Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, a really big mess for sure lol
DeleteThat's a big deal! We have a water pipe, sewer pipe, and storm water pipe renovation for three years in this village! Terrible renovation! The yards have been dug up. The roads have only been deep mounds. Before that, there was a fiber optic renovation here that lasted a year. I hope nothing more is done here!
ReplyDeletethats a bit much for sure- this work has gone pretty well so far
DeleteYou are right Kathy, what a mess. Sorry your property s being so dug up. Hopefully they will be done soon so things can grow back. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletethanks this was a bigger mess than I was expecting Larry says they are using the wrong equipment for this type of land I am hoping they will resod this
DeleteI had a friend who needed a new sewer line because hers burst. They dug up the entire side of her property and, when finished, just covered the ground back and left. She had to plant her own grass, but opted for sod, since she felt it would be cheaper in the long run. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen with you.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping too that they will resod when they have completed this area we'll see what happens
DeleteIt’s a mess for sure, but where there are no sewers next to a lake, it’s necessary. The lake will eventually die if sewage isn’t diverted away from the water. It’s another kind of infrastructure that needs our attention for the health of the lake and future generations.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Hope all is well at the lake today! While looking at your photos, this thought came to me. "There never was an ill wind that didn't blow some good." (my mom) You may end up with a spectacular walkway down to the lake.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your Mom for sure-
DeleteDearie me! What an upheaval! I also hope they are going to put your grass back for you. Certainly the Finished project will be a great improvement but meanwhile you have to put up with the mess! All the fuss has probably deterred the geese and ducks from laying. Keep well. Amanda x
ReplyDeleteIt is quite the mess for now but it will fine when finished I think. we had a very cold and wet april and may so think many of the birds lost their babies or they didn't hatch
DeleteMessy for sure, all that soil and rock about the place. It will look pretty when it is all finished and replanted.
ReplyDeleteI think so too and we will upgraded to a sewer system
DeleteIt does look like one big mess right now! My son had new sewers put in his French place - his friend took photos and he says it looks better then it did before - hope yours is the same! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeletethe crew has been really nice, we let them use their heavy equipment on our property and return they just dug out a deep tree stump, helping us with some little things, and bringing us rock for our little road down to the lake-for atv's and Larry's Snapper
