Sunday Lake Views

Good afternoon, Thinking of sharing photos and maybe a line or two, but a break from link ups

I made pizzas and shared with new friends

We have been missing our dear Nikita This is the only photo I have left of her and was taken during her last year of life. She was 99% wolf and a true member of our family, she lived around 15 years so a long life for a wolf

Photo of her prints in snow

  2. What a breathtakingly beautiful lake view! The pizza looks sensational, Kathy. Nikita had a long and good life with your family..and that's what matters.

  3. Beautiful lake pics again!!! And hmmm, Pizza!
Nikita explains your love for wolves.
They were in the news again the other day. One really just wandered peacefully through a German city, LOL! (Can´t remember which one).
Just looked around how "those humans" live like, so cute (people backed off, but most out of respect, not "horror").
To sweet memories. I sadly do not have one pic of my Jaculus - she was so cute and clever (a mouse that usually lives in the desert and can jump real high, I named her Dandy).
Hope to see you soon again - and wish you a nice time-out - if doctor-visits and driving around is nice... You know what I mean... hugs from here.

    1. Good morning, our family fur members are usually so special, we always had a hunting dog (for pheasants) over the years til we rescued Nikita from a bad situation. we always had an outdoor kitty too but our ages now decided not to get another-wouldn't be fair to them if we passed on first.
I am glad people were not afraid of the wolf visitor he/she probably wondered in the city by mistake. hugs back

    1. we have never had allot of friends really, mostly because over the years we worked soooo many hours and days, I grabbed all the overtime pay I could get too. the neighbors on both sides of us here at the lake are very friendly and we do talk with each other when we are outdoors. we just met this couple and they live in this area in a cove, we met them through someone else-they are very involved in their church, we won't be doing that with them though. but we do enjoy their company-she wants me to teach her how to make a pizza crust-hugs back

  7. Loved seeing the heron on the lake and the pizza. What an adorable photo of Nikita. Now I know why wolves are so important to you.

I know most of my neighbors because they have lived here nearly as long or longer than I. When I moved in to my home, I rented rooms to students from Wichita State. One was a Nigerian, the other from Taiwan. Over Christmas break, I made cookies and candies and took them to all my neighbors. I was anxious to meet the ones I didn't yet already know. When I went to the door of one man whose NINE children stood behind him (don't ask how 11 people fit in a tiny 3 bedroom house), he threw the plate back at me when I told him where I lived. He said this neighborhood doesn't want any NIGGER LOVERS and I should move where they are welcome. I wanted to tell him the Nigerian was richer than rich and he could buy and sell that man if he so chose. I kept my mouth shut because I decided the fight wasn't worth it, especially after some neighbors has already met Kola and found his British accent contagious and charming. BTW, it wasn't long until the man, his wife, who was again pregnant, moved from the neighborhood. I'm still here. Kola graduated with a degree in Engineering, and returned to Nigeria. There are great neighbors and not so great neighbors in every neighborhood.

  9. Nikita was a beauty, dear Kathy, and the name suited her so well! You wrote to me (to my wolf post) that she was your family fur member for around 18 years, that's a very long time and I can well imagine how much you miss her <3 <3 <3.
    Lovely pictures from the lake!
    All the best,

  10. I am just now catching up here in blogland, and finding lots of great posts that I almost missed. Wow, on that pizza! As I have said before, you definitely have a talent for creating the most wonderful pizzas ever. I see the Great Heron is still visiting. I see one of the blues at the pond here often, but he squawks loudly and flies away when he sees me.
