The first Spring here at the lake I was so excited to discover lilac bushes on our property. There are several and two different varieties - one blooms earlier than the other one. Lilacs do spread as well and have a lovely fragrance. I have always loved them.
Here is an older photo of one of the bushes. This one is to the far right of our property close to our neighbor Joe
We were pretty warm today but lots of rain coming in again-tonight and tomorrow. I did manage to get a lot of grass cut over the weekend. I have cut this section three times already. I need to get to the other side now once the rain stops. Some areas are super tall
Happy new week!
I so love the perfume of a lilac. Ours are starting to bud here so soon the scent will be here once again. Janice

DeleteYou sure brought back a pleasant memory of the lilac trees in my parent's yard which were always so fragrant. There is a lilac tree very close to the mill apartments, which unfortunately often has its blooms removed by some folks, which means the wonderful scent cannot be enjoyed by others 😟
ReplyDeleteOh I am glad, was thrilled to see them here at the lake, I had not had lilacs at the woods house. that's a shame so many cut the lilac blooms
DeleteI love lilacs! The flowers are beautiful, and they smell heavenly.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Kathy. Ours are just getting their leaves -- blooms will take another month!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful Kathy. We're not quite that far into spring so I enjoyed seeing yours.
