Prayers and/or positive healing thoughts still being needed for my husband.
This continues to be a very difficult and challenging recovery. I needed a good cry today for myself-so I did that.
I did bake up a small batch of small but soft gluten free molasses cookies just now- The recipe was a favorite of my Mom's that we baked, growing up at home. Hers spread out larger with the regular wheat flour, but these are still delicious. I had some candied ginger in my pantry, so I sliced those into small pieces and added to the dough.
Sometimes you just need a good cry. I will continue to pray for Larry. Janice
ReplyDeleteYou are both in an impossible situation. My heart just aches for you. Remember to take cre if yourself also.

Sending prayers of continued strength for you Kathy.
ReplyDeleteSnoopy is such a wise little fellow. We could all do well to keep looking up.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry that the two of you are having to go through this. Sometimes a good cry really helps, but you must take care of yourself too. The cookies sound delicious, of course! I think baking is your best therapy! Hugs and prayers, dear friend! Mary @ Hilltop Post

If it makes you smile a bit I have wolves to share today. And you and baking is involved, kinda, too. Every little smile helps, right?
Hugs to you all, lake included...
Sending prayers for you and your hubby! Stay strong! Take care, have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteOf course the prayers continue. I hope baking a favorite recipe helped ease some of the sad. (And tears are toxic -- getting them out is good. Then you move on to the next thing.) Big hugs.

ReplyDeleteCrying is a good stress reliever so cry. And if you find peace in baking, then bake. It’s a hard time for you and your husband now. I pray for complete healing for both of you in physical as well as emotional. This too shall pass!

ReplyDeleteI'm only posting once a week until the end of the year, but wanted to stop by and wish you positive energy and good wishes. I know this is taking its toll on both of you. The kitchen seems to be your happy place, so the more you are there, the happier you will be (after a good cry, that is).
