Handwoven Shawl

Today I hand washed this large shawl I have been weaving. It's been wrapped up in thick towels to absorb the water, now ready to finish drying on this big wooden dry rack I have had for years and years. We found this at a garage sale one year.

I decided I worry too much, and just see how everything looks once dry. Quite pleased with the results. This shawl-wrap will be very warm, soft and cozy to wear.

Photos will enlarge just click on them

  2. thank you hoping so, a few years ago she visited Peru and bought the baby alpaca yarn there, I suggested I would be happy to weave her something. then she had a stroke and has taken her 2 years to recover from that-so hoping she will remember the yarn

  4. Impressive Kathy. Your friend is definitely going to be thrilled with this more so ,as you mention here, she is back to good health again now. A beautiful gift. How lucky you found the wooden drying rack. I have been looking for one of those for ages! I would probably be able to find one in the UK but up to now here in Spain it has been impossible. They are so practical. keep well Amanda x
