A New Week

Good morning, a new week is upon us-we are full sunshine but much cooler now we have fall temperatures today.

The lake was very busy do to events happening and our temperatures making it to the 90's-perfect for boaters. We saw many fisherman on the lake.

Last week our workers got a lot done for us. Saturday I moved our large Weber grill close to the smaller one near the front of the house. Much easier to use there since close to the front door and kitchen. That was a job though as it is heavy and I moved a lot of the rocks too for around the base. This weber is probably over 30 years old now. Didn't get to the acorn ink project though. I did get gluten free and wheat batches of sugar cookie dough mixed up.

I will be making another trip today to the local hardware store for more materials for our workers this week-to finish up the drainage project where Larry fell off the wall a year ago this month.

Today the Kansas City Chiefs football and the Kansas City Royals baseball game will be playing at the same time tonight--so if I get the baseball game on the tv will be recording them both.

I have watched a lot of film from phones of all the organizations and private people and business's helping the flood victims from the hurricane. I took down my rant post but for me it was important to express my thoughts. We must care about our fellow Americans.  Now on the fema page they say they are helping-however most all of the films I have seen the locals have not seen them or they are hindering.  Like refusing to let the independent helicopters land-who have been helping since day one.  It is a horrible situation Biden doesn't even know what is going on,   I am not in a position with my age and Larry's caregiver to go down and help so am praying for the victims.  Such a horrible nature's disaster.

  Happy Monday

  1. I still had that post in my cache. What to say.
Ingo as well as my Brother drowned more than once (both moved).
Help... Yes. Germany gave €200 ("wo-hooooo" - not) for each household. If you were willing to stand in line.
What to say.... In these cases it was easy to move away, but a hurricane????
It´s a sad, weird world. I feel sorry for all those who lost (everything). Ingo back then saved his PC and TV, the rest was gone. He luckily was with me in Braunschweig so no life was threatened. And then we moved in together here.
We certainly had to get rid of the now "rubbish". Neighbors watched but did not help. It was in a village.... Rant over. Glad there are no hurricanes (yet) in Germany....

    1. this was a very devastating hurricane that effected many people in several states and in the mountains-never heard of water traveling that far inward. most lost everything-many charties are helping fema finally arrived my friend that lives there said this govt branch is confiscating all of this donated money to do what they want with it. this govt wants us to be a 3rd world country-people need to wake up if they want a country left-a free country
soon another huge hurricane is coming in-looks like it will hit all of the state Florida on all sides-scary. they have a good governor though not on the far left so he will get things done to help his people

  2. I've read a few articles about the situations going on in the devastated areas. Not all of the stories are true. Two groups trying to do the same help, and rescue is not an easy thing to sort out. Stupid decisions can be made. The biggest one, IMHO, is not have a worse case program all set out so the folks on the ground on day one can get started while agencies get ready to join in.

    1. that is what fema is supposed to do-they didn't do anything at all until just recently the military should have been deployed the feds didn't do that. many governors sent the national guard to help but sounds like very little coordination-many organizations have chipped in-now fema is conficating all the money that was donated--my friend that lives in north carolina told me that. disgusting oh and Harris offers 750.00 for everything you lost-they did the same to the people in Hawaii that lost everything. americans need to wake up and see what is really going on here

    1. I know this storm sounds horrible. I just saw that Harris was accusing Florida's governor for not taking her phone call. He says he never got it, and she has nothing to do with organizing the response-Biden does she spreads so much mistruths. and his is super busy right now arranging for the aftermath of this newest storm. she likes to stir up untruths
