Good Morning Monday

I am drinking a cup of coffee (decaf) and watching the sun rise this morning-so peaceful As you can see this tree is now dead and needs to be cut down-most estimates are a thousand dollars-craziness-still looking for a better price.

This looks like the last cool day for awhile-I didn't get anything accomplished outdoors over the weekend-sigh.  Once the dew is off may try to cut some grass

   Enjoy your new week

  1. GoodMorning Kathy,

I know what you mean... getting trees cut down is soooo expensive... Ridiculous really... You many remember back in 2020 or 2021 Tx had that big freeze? Here in my town there are still so many dead trees around... 4 maybe 5 years later... Nobody can afford to have them cut down.. Looks terrible really.. I think since it was a disaster the city should cut them down for the people that live in town at least... I'm pretty sure thats asking too much of the city. But it would benefit them in my mind because they fancy themselves a tourist town and all those dead trees can't look good..

In Arkansas we had so many old Pine trees 100 ft tall... some close to the house that would make me nervous in a storm... Some needed the dead trimmed off etc.. could not afford to take care of them properly.. made me sad because they were old and beautiful.. I still have a basketful of the 'knots' that would fall off the Pine Trees.. I cleaned them up and put a clear coat on them.. I got some weedeating done Fri and Sat... not thinking i want to get out there today... Some days i just can't make myself do it.. lol Take care Kathy! Have another cup of coffee... Hugs! deb

    1. Good morning I don't understand the huge expense-you do want some one trained and is bonded but a thousand dollars too much for one tree. We have a few here that need to come down.
I just can't get myself out there lately-when the temps crash like they did I get ill from that too always have effects my asthma.
I think that is a good idea for the city to take those down-they have city workers they are paying anyway and if they mulched the small limbs and cut up the big stuff people would take it for firewood-if anyone burns wood there for heat or cooking.
I did just have another cup of coffee haha can't get myself going today either-I blame it on weather changes and sinus etc
      have a good week

  3. We sure know about the cost of cutting trees down. We are looking at atleast 8 or 9 that have to come down this fall. The guy's ad says he gives discounts to seniors-just hoping he means it! I could kick myself for planting some of those trees way back. We've got the smoke from the fires-so we can't go outside now until that's gone. Be careful when you work outside!

    1. Perhaps you can find someone to give you a discount with so many trees-do you have a wood stove? would be good for that too-after aged a bit.
Thanks Iam careful-if I don't feel well I don't go out to mow-or actually use my weed eater for all of it take care hugs

  7. I should go out today and do something outside but I'm not much feeling like it right now. I hope it doesn't get too hot Kathy. The high eat takes the fun out of summer. Happy Tuesday. hugs-Erika
