Just dropping in for prayers.
Yesterday morning early my Larry slipped and fell off the rock wall where we are working on that water drainage ditch.
911 was very fast to arrive, only about10 minutes After many cat scans x rays etc he has broken bones in his leg under his hip area. Larry is on blood thinners so they have been working to get his blood thicker before surgery-stopping the medicine and feeding him low vit k foods.
The plan right now is for early surgery tomorrow morning at 7:30 am, they put him in traction late this afternoon before the surgery. Our friends here at the lake insisted on driving me to the hospital and staying with me I am grateful
Thank you
Praying for healing.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers so sorry to hear this.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry, Kathy! I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Mary
ReplyDeleteSending good wishes Kathy, and keeping my fingers crossed all goes OK. I'm so sorry to hear about Larry's fall.
ReplyDeleteKathy regretted what happened. Hopefully everything goes well. I am an older person and I take care not to do certain jobs because of the consequences that may occur.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy!!!! Girlfriend i will most definitely keep you in our thoughts and prayers... I was just thinking of you as i just mailed a Halloween pkg to you... Gosh things happen so fast.. My Alvin insisted on digging the last few remaining postholes we needed the other day and my heart is in my throat the whole time.. Oh poor Larry.. And Girl make sure you take care of you... sounds like your neighbors have you well in hand.. Much much love sent your way.. Love and Big big hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteOf course, many prayers coming your way. It sounds like a scary, painful accident and I hope the surgery can be soon and successful.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, so sorry to read this.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
All the best Jan
I'm so sorry to hear about your husband - Praying for a successful surgery and quicker recovery.
ReplyDeleteHow is your husband Kathy? I hope all went well with his surgery. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThank you Erika, the surgeon told me it was much worse than the scans showed. He was able to put things back together except for a section of bone that was too fractured it needs to mend on its own. so can't put weight on it for 3 months-can't visualize how that will work. early evening today they moved him to rehab within the hosp-said 7-10 days possibly more thank you for asking hugs
DeleteOh, that is horrible news, I am so sorry, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteBut at least they could perform surgery at all.
Ingo was on bloodthinner years ago, it was terrible (and actually he does totally OK without).
All the very best wishes and that the bone really manages to heal on it´s own.
I don´t understand, though, why they cannot help the bone by putting in a plate?
When I broke my arm they put a nail into it, sadly with a virus so part of the bone rotted away (long story) - they removed the nail, put in a bit of my hip-bone and a plate over that.
This was 1994 and I still have that plate.
Maybe ask another surgeon?
Big hugs...
I don't understand it all either
DeleteKathy, praying your husband will heal quickly. So sorry.
ReplyDeleteDear Kathy, thank you for your message! I'm very glad you were able to talk to the dietician and the food for your hubby is better now. I really hope that his pain will subside soon too!
ReplyDeleteHugs Traude
