Sadly on this 9/11 20th year anniversary we are no safer than when we were when this horrific attack happened I mourn still for all the losses especially the last 13
What a lovely way to memorialize this horrific event that hit our shores 20 years ago. I mourn all the losses above and beyond those whose lives were taken that day. Thanks for this memorial and tribute to 9/11.
I remember this day vividly! I just couldn't believe what I was seeing on the TV. In fact it was horrifying images which remain clearly in my mind. On that very day my grand-daughter's US grandfather had an appointment that morning in the Towers but they decided to meet outside and go and have breakfast together. That saved their lives! The World will never forget this! We mourn! Amanda x
oh Wow I am thinking you wanted to go and hug your grandfather. I was a telephone operator at the time and we were finding out what happened from the calls we were getting-there was one in particular I will never forget The world still mourns
Lest we forget, many died and will still die because of 9/11. Well over 10,000 first responders and others who were in the World Trade Center area have been diagnosed with cancer because of toxic exposure. It was once estimated that more people would eventually die from cancer than were killed in the actual events of that day. It’s impossible to know how many losses are being mourned.
