Happy Monday
Good morning Monday and another new week.
The 4th was a fun day at the lake house-good food with friends and wow an awesome fireworks show all around us. Started just before dark and lasted as long as you wanted to watch all the fireworks going up around the lake that we could view from the deck.
The guys did good fishing too.
We had hoped to get more big items moved but our helper disappeared on us-guess he decided to take days off and not get back to us.
We did get one of the tv's up to the lake house yesterday as it will get connected to the electric co op's cable tomorrow-at an amazing less cost than we have been paying for all these years living so rural. To get everything with all movie channels etc will be the same price I am paying now for satelite (only choice) for one of their lowest packages. So am excited about that-love the sport channels and all the Hallmark channels, cooking diy etc etc haha
My computer is up at the lake house but it seems to be in worse shape than we realized and won't connect to the internet. So don't know when I will have my own computer again. Probably use Hub's desk top at the final big move and hook to that. He has a lap top he can use til he gets a new desk top. We always liked just a regular desk top computer with a printer and a nice big monitor screen. We do not use smart phones either.
I use Hubs now at the wood's house to check emails, and I check my blog friends when I can, and business stuff.
I don't miss facebook except for the groups I follow-art and crafts groups, and lots of photo groups for Yellowstone park and my author groups. One can't be logged into two facebook accounts at the same time-so since this is Hubs computer and he is selling stuff on fb marketplace still- I am just not going there now. Too much of a hassle signing out of one and back to another.
Late this afternoon is Hub's appointment with the heart valve specialist to learn more about his options etc. I still have yet to hear back for an appointment for my broken toe-so am getting on them about that today.
Summer is just passing us by so far-too much going on.
I will visit when I can-Have an awesome new week everyone

Glad you enjoyed the fireworks, and that you got a good deal on the TV connection, that's great. Good luck for your hubby's appointment. Get some rest in between doing so many things! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAh, sports channels! With the women's world cup just ended we'd have loved for access, and sports channels would've been nice :) We just have what comes through the antenna, so no cable or satellite.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your computer. I enjoy FB, and would miss it if I couldn't check in. The fireworks sound like something special you can look forward to next year. Maybe even New Year's Eve...
I trust you'll get helpful news for the doctors :)
I am glad you enjoyed the fireworks with friends, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the computer. Take your time and we will be here waiting for you. Hugs, my friend.
You've been a busy lady Kathy. Hope the husband made out well today at the drs. How cool you had all those fireworks around you. Sounds like it was a good 4th! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSounds like you enjoyed your 4th. I always love fireworks over the river. Sounds like you had a fabulous time watching them, too.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer. It will be nice to have a nice TV set-up, though. We are getting Wimbledon and FIFA here. No tour de France this year that I have seen, though. I'm a basketball fan, so a sports package wouldn't really interest me. I am SO tired of HMM. I hate it that every July and starting in November, they show Christmas movies. I hate that. I'm really ready to pull the plug on cable.
I hope you let us know about your husband's condition and also if you will be able to use your foot. I know it can be trying to be so active, then have to scale back on activities. Hope things turn out OK for both of you at the Dr's office.
I think of you two every day and am anxious to learn what faces you both on the health front. In the meantime you have a lot of fun living to do at your lake house!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you lost your helper--and about your foot, which you mentioned in your last post. I can imagine the source of frustration both are causing.
ReplyDeleteI miss your posts on FB but don't blame you for not missing it. I wish there was an alternative to it. Even Apple Co-founder Steve Can'tSpellHisLastNameStartsWithA"W" recommends deleting FB accounts. Unfortunately, it's the only platform on which I can stay in touch with the bulk of friends and family. I'm glad you blog. I can't always comment because I'm not always on a PC with a Blogger-Approved browser, but I keep up with your posts.
My best to you on the remainder of the move.
