Thank You Mother Nature
(photo found online)
Good morning Sunday, and finally a much needed break in the weather for today and tomorrow-then back to the high 90s and high humidity again.
We had a very hard down pour of rain for about 10 minutes early last evening and this morning we woke up to 58 degrees f instead of the 70's f The air was soooo thick yesterday I couldn't breath well outdoors. So I am thanking Mother Nature for this two day break.
I am still not 100% but getting better. I had a bit of a set back after all the shopping Friday when it was so hot.
I will post later about my latest bread attempt-a disappointment but I will try it again.
Hoping to get outdoors and inspect all the weeds that have taken over this past week, perhaps try to pull a few.
Enjoy your Sunday
Our temps dropped overnight, but it's now almost 7:30 am and the heat has returned. I'm glad to read you are doing better, because this heat is definitely record setting and devastating. Please don't remind me of weeds or the grass, which I suspect will need to be mowed today or tomorrow, too.
ReplyDeleteYou asked what workshop I attended. It was a fascinating workshop on river runoff, elevation, and flooding. To demonstrate the process, we were each given a sheet of printer paper and a large plastic bowl. We were told to crumple the paper in any way we chose, but to be sure there were mountains and rivers. Then they passed around some blue dye. We also had access to spray bottles of water. The more we sprayed the more runoff we got. It was a fun, hands on experiment and I really enjoyed it.
Glad the weather has given you a break so you can feel a little better. Take care.
ReplyDeletethank you it was wonderful day to be outdoors finally lol
DeleteWell.... the rain all but a few drops missed us.... We needed it too..but BUT the cool weather you speak of is here too!!! Delicious isn't it? Windows open .. fans in the windows to pull in the cool air.. just glorious! We must remember this when it gets miserable again.. Trying to talk myself into mowing grass with this cooler weather.. It would be the smart thing to do..lol Glad your feeling a little better.. Don't do too much. Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteYou must have just missed the storms-they were showing lot of tstorms near you on the weather. glad you got the cool down too
DeleteYes....glad you are feeling better. We are heading towards 90 degrees....atleast that means lots of afternoon sewing to avoid the heat.
ReplyDeletethose 90s with humidity keeps me indoors too-enjoy sewing and quilting-hugs
DeleteIts good that your weather has been better, the heat gets to many of us just as much as the cold.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo you shared, a glorious summer meadow with blue skies.
I smiled when I read you were going to inspect the weeds, that's what we have been doing for a couple of days, I think we have them tamed ...for now.
Yvonne xx
Ho Yvonne-I know lol after inspecting them especially in my butterfly garden area-wow the weeds are unreal-I got about 1/3 of that area done today. hugs
DeleteGlad your weather has cooled off-ours too. And I hope you are feeling 100% soon. I have been inspecting weeds also, and what I learned is there is a lot of them to deal with. I am slowly getting to all them. :)Hope your weather stays cool and you can take care of those weeds this week. Hugs-Erika
